From the peaceful church square with its bars, townhall and it’s impressive blue domed church of Los Santos Juanes to the bustling high street you will find an atmosphere to suit every taste. The main street, Calle Purisima is a hive of activity throughout the day, boasting 2 supermarkets, restaurants including Spanish, Indian, Chinese, Argentinian, Italian, plus bars and disco pubs galore. 
Business wise you will find plenty of banks, lawyers, internet cafes, the town has 3 pharmacies, a medical centre, sports centre with a huge communal pool, and only 3 kms away is the international campsite of Marjal with even more activities. Venture along the narrow side streets of Catral and you will find traditional Spanish butchers, bakers, fruit shops and general stores. Situated less than a kilometre from the town, Catral is only 15 minutes from the beautiful beaches of La Marina and Guardamar, 15 minutes from the city of Elche which boasts the biggest palm grove in Europe. Torrevieja and Alicante airport are reached in only 20 minutes.
