Flight access to the area is excellent with two main airports in close proximity. Alicante airport is a 40 minute drive away and Murcia airport is just 30 minutes. August is the hottest month with an average temperature of 29°C (84.2°F); the coldest is January at 11°C (51.8°F) with a maximum of 12 hours sunshine per day in July. The best month to swim in the sea is August when the average sea temperature is 25°C (77°F).
